How did it get to be August?

Seriously - time is flying. You don't necessarily have to be having fun for it to fly, I've found out. Just plain old doing stuff makes it fly!

Tomorrow is Alex's first day of school. Back to normalcy and organized chaos compared to the insanity and unorganized chaos that ruled the summer. It's going to be a tough year for Alex, but I know he'll do well. My new school year resolution is to nag less. :-) That's going to be quite difficult for me!

On the adoption front, I have nada to report. It's the quiet time, folks. Nothing happens. Still awaiting accreditation, still haven't heard of any movement in Kras and still haven't finished cleaning out the room upstairs. I do have my lists put together, but what good are lists if you don't use them? :-)

So, instead of boring you with my whining about the quietness of this adoption, I'll tell you a few things we've been doing the past few weeks. Last weekend, Keith, Alex, Kaylee and I went to Stone Mountain for a company picnic. Stone Mountain, for those of you that don't know, is a big ol' granite rock. You can hike up it (yeah, right!), take a tram to the top and on the 1 clear day we have in Atlanta per year, you can see the city from the top. Unfortunately, it was so freaking hot out so we couldn't see anything. We stayed for the laser light show - that was a first - and lots of fun!

Tuesday, I spent the day in Pensacola for work and then flew back and went directly to the Justin Timberlake concert with my sister and step-mother. Yes, I went to a JT concert. :-) It was fun - not as good as I thought it would be, but fun all of the same! Thursday we had family night at Alex's football camp, Friday night I spent the night downtown with some friends and we had a blast. I always laugh myself silly with those girls!!! Saturday we went to a women's conference and I wound up leaving early. I had a horrendous headache and had burned the candle at both ends throughout the week. I crashed as soon as I got home and slept for 3 hours! It was much needed. And, today, was cleaning day.

I sometimes find myself thinking - how am I going to be able to keep up with a toddler if I'm as tired as I am right now!

Night night!
Becky

Time flies doesn't it?? It seems like things are going slowly as we wait for a referral, but at the same time, I can't believe that it is already August! I hope things go well as you get back into the school routine with Alex. What grade is he in this year?

I wanted to ask you if dossiers can be registered in Kras without accreditation. I know that is the case in some regions, but not in others. Hopefully the accreditation for CHI will happen soon so it won't matter either way!

It is funny how time seems to go so slow during the wait, but yet, like you said - it's August already. Seems like other regions are picking up so hopefully you will hear some news on Kras soon!!

Was JT bringing Sexy back? I can imagine he was.

It is funny how time seems to go by although our weeks seem to go slowly. And we all have lists of things to do and yet we wait like we have all the time in the world. I guess they will eventually get done. Norman tried to paint more in the basement yesterday since we were not done prior to our home visit.

Sorry I haven't called you. You've been on my mind and I plan to call you tonight. I know tomorrow night is bad, but I promise to try to do my best. There was a terrible accident for a family friend yesterday, so I didn't get home until late. No real news until we talked to the doctor late Saturday. We'll talk later!!

Isn't it amazing how time flies when you are busy? Accredidation is close...can you feel it too? Thanks for the comments on our blog!

I've been wondering that same thing. I've also been thankful that we haven't got called back for trip #2 yet b/c as badly as I want to go I have not had everything done that I wanted to before we go back to the baby crazies again.

I like your gym story. I always feel like I'm not doing something right up next to the cheerleader "Ms. Gym USA' types too.
