Dear Alex,Today, you turn 17! Well, kind of. According to my rules, you're just going to repeat being 16. You're growing up to fast so we're having to rewind time. This year, on your birthday, you're out exploring the world. Thanks to Uncle Chris, we've seen some awesome pictures of you in New Zealand and the sights!
Anyhow, on this day, December 30, 2008, your dad and I want to tell you how very proud we are of you. You continue to make your entirely family proud, not only with your grades but with the wonderful young man you are becoming. It's hard to believe that in just another year and a half you'll be off to college. Little do you know, we're going to send your application to Georgia Perimeter College and you're going to have to live at home. :-) Kidding, dear... kidding!
Thank you for everything you add to this family - for your humor, your crabbiness in the mornings when you don't get enough sleep, being such an awesome big brother, step-son and son.

Alex, We want to add our love and happiness to our 1st Grandson. In my minds eye, I still that little adorable blond haired, blue eyed angel that stole our heart from the first glance. So glad you are getting to enjoy the world with Uncle Chris and can't wait to see the pictures. Both of you be safe, and have a Happy 17th Birthday. You fill Grandpa's and my heart with such joy.
