Oh boy, did we have fun tonight at my dad and step-mom's! I don't have time to give you all of the details (I have video to share too!) but I will do that sometime over the next few days (and tell you about Christmas of course!). Right now, Keith and I need to get busy wrapping gifts.
I'm really logging on to the blog to ask all of you to keep a little friend of ours in your thoughts and prayers. Alex became friends with a boy in our neighborhood many, many years ago and they have been inseparable ever since. I always joke around that he is my second son (with Andrew being my third). Well, I spoke with his mom tonight and without going into details, he isn't doing well. His family life isn't the best and his depression seems to have reached a pinnacle. We love this kid and are heartbroken that we can't do anything to make it all better (that's what us moms are good at, right??). He needs all of the love he can get from near and far right now.
Off to wrap gifts, tidy my house and (hopefully) get some sleep!
Merry Christmas Eve!
Becky
P.S. You know you've been talking about Santa non-stop when your dogs get excited because they've heard something and you think to yourself "Oh my goodness! Is Santa here??" :-)

Sorry to hear about Alex's friend. Will definitely keep him and his family in our prayers.
Merry Christmas Eve to you as well!!
Wow, you DO win the mother of the year award considering you fit in blogging with your hectic schedule last night! You will have to tell me how to upload the 2nd 1/2 of the video on my camera. I am STILL laughing.... My thoughts are of course with Alex's friend. He is so lucky to have both you and Alex in his life and I am sure he knows that. Love you, Mixon family! Merry Christmas!
Ho, Ho, Ho...MERRY XMAS!!!!!! Dasha and I had a GREAT time last night and Andrew...we're STILL laughing!!!! I even checked the fireplace/chimney after you guys left to see if Santa was REALLY in there talking to him!!! He was soooooo cute! 50 years as a professional trumpet player and it all comes down to playing "Jingle Bells" for a 3 year old...it was well worth it!!! We wish you ALL a MERRY XMAS and a good, HAPPY, HEALTHY New Year. Love you all. Grandpa and Nana.
I too am sorry to hear about Alex's friend. I will keep him in my prayers.
