Already 5 days behind…

Our paperwork was delivered to USCIS today!  We’re about 5 days behind my perfect world scenario due to my own oversight.  Keith was out of town last night and while I had our I-800A ready to go, I had forgotten to have him sign it.  I could have sent the paperwork off on Thursday afternoon, but instead had to wait until Saturday morning.  Oh well, what’s 2 business days in the grand scheme of things, right??

We had our FINAL post-placement visit with our awesome social worker this evening.  Andrew knew she was coming and that he would have to answer some questions but I didn’t expect him to give a complete dissertation on the ins and outs of Kindergarten, the behavior policy, his favorite things to do, etc… He was too cute.  He wanted to tell her EVERYTHING.  I loved listening to him talk with such enthusiasm and he had our SW cracking up.

I have some pictures to post, but haven't had a chance to upload them yet (the picture above is from right around Easter).  And, oddly enough, I can’t find my camera.  I’m sure it’s around her somewhere and I put it exactly where it is for a reason.  Hopefully I’ll find out that reason soon!

Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Becky

I emailed you before I read this post and caught up on the details. Being away from the blog world, I hadn't kept up with yours either. So glad that you are one step closer to your little guy.

You will love the China process! After authentication, there are no worries besides USCIS. No court dates, no updating documents, etc. etc. I hope all works out for you to continue with your home study as is!

Becky, I have taken a long break from blogging and reading blogs so I was thrilled when I saw that you were back and adopting again!
Sorry about the deadline issue, you will be in my prayers. But I will tell you that working with China was FAR FAR better through the entire process than working with Russia. Your little guy is so adorable!!! I am so happy for you!
