My Goose Egg

Well, hello there friends! It's been months, probably almost a year, since I last posted. Maybe I should re-introduce myself. My name is Andrew but my dad likes to call me his big boy, Alex calls me a squirt and Mom... well, she has 90 different names for me. Well, maybe 91. I really thought I'd take over this blog now that I'm talking up a storm and can type my name, but Mom never lets me. I'm not sure, but I think it's the whole control freak thing I hear my dad mutter sometimes.

Anyhow, back to me. I'm going to be 4 next weekend and I'm so excited. I think that if I understood the difference between today, tonight and tomorrow I'd be even more excited. Instead I just keep asking "Is tomorrow my birthday??". Some friends are coming to visit this weekend and I am SO excited. We're going to have my birthday party with our friends and we're going to spend the weekend on the lake. I would tell you who those friends are but you'll see soon enough. After all, they are all bloggers just like me, errr... I mean my mom. We ordered my cake today - 24 cupcakes. You know, 24 cupcakes is NOT enough sugar for me. I hope mom realizes that.

Mommy told me that Alex's friends are coming to the lake too. I hope they spin me around in a chair or throw me back and forth. I'm such a dare devil. I think it makes my mom nervous, but I think if I can survive slamming my head onto the road, I can survive anything. I'm like Tigger... bouncy, bouncy.

So, this post is supposed to be about my goose egg (to catch up, see the last post about how my dad dropped me on my head. It had nothing to do with the fact that I didn't put my feet down, for the record) but instead I seem to be going off on tangents. I might not have come from my mom's belly, but I sure have her gift of gab, don't I? Oh and her love of desserts... we LOVE chocolate. But, chocolate isn't enough sugars. Right, mom?

Below are my goose egg pictures. Mom was trying to get one good shot after I got out of the bath last night but I thought it would be fun if I moved around, made funny faces and tried to escape the camera. That drives her nutso! Now, don't you worry about my boo-boo. It doesn't hurt at all, just looks pretty ugly.

Onto another topic. I'm done trying to make my mom feel guilty when she drops me off in the morning. I have to admit that it was kind of fun to get her all worked up. I thought I really had her when I hid behind the classroom door and refused to come in. She fell for my antics for a few days and then she started passing my hand to the teacher, giving me a hug and kiss and then leaving. The game was no longer fun and so now I don't even need to go to the teacher. She keeps telling me I'm being such a big boy. Well, hello!!! I am going to be 4, you know! :-)

It's way past my bedtime - better head off to sleep. We bought 4 noodles today for the lake. One for me and one for my three friends. Need to rest up so I can float all day long!

Much love,
The little Peanut (who is growing big)

Oh Andrew, my heart breaks seeing your goose egg! But your silly faces make me smile anyway!

I cannot WAIT to celebrate your fourth birthday with you on August twenty-two. We are going to have so much fun! We are going to play, and eat food, and play some more, and eat cupcakes, and then play, and then eat cupcakes - whew, I am tired but excited just thinking about it!

Love you!

Hooray for mastering the drop off at school!!

That is an impressive goose egg you have there, Andrew. Tell your Mama I let out a big sigh and said, "Boys..."

Have a wonderful birthday!! I have a hunch I know who at least one of your blogger friends is that you will celebrate with, and I am envious that you get to get together in real life!

LOL! Sounds like you guys are going to have lots of fun! Mateo had a blast last weekend at the pool. If we can lets try and see if we can get one more trip in before they close. Of course there is always the gym, but they don't have the cool slide inside that Andrew loved so much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!

Hey there Andrew, so good to hear from you. Could you ask your mom again what weekend it was that she said we could meet in Chattanooga at the lake? I forgot and I would really like to make sure we get that on the calendar before someone else slips in there with their gorgeous daughter and tries to steal you away! :)

Dear Andrew,
It is so amazing to have a grandson 4 years old who can write a blog! Mom & Dad picked the very smartest boy in Russia to bring home just a year ago. We can't come up to see you on your 4th birthday but look for 2 big boxes coming for you. (Oh, Alex there's something for you too.) We will see you next month and try not to get any more goose eggs on that beautiful face. Take lots of pictures for us. We love you ever so much. Happy Birthday.

Hey Andrew, My daughter Anneliese, who is a bit younger than you at 3 years old, had a matching goose egg. She fell into a picnic bench seat, and whacked it good. Then a week later she fell on the playground and bumped it again. Ouch! I hope your goose egg has healed up. Happy 4th from the Anneliese, Alexa, Danica and Chris.

How did I miss this post? That is a goose egg. As busy as our boys are, it doesn't surprise me.

Still working on d/l photos!
