Tagged!

I have been tagged by Karyn to list 6 quirky things about myself.... where do I start? :-)

1. I have read at least one page of my book before being able to go to sleep. Without reading my mind goes non-stop.

2. Staying on the sleep topic, I have to put lotion on my feet and hands and use chapstick before being able to sleep.

3. I'm not a big fan of eating meat that I have just cooked or has been defrosted for more then a day. If I marinate pork in a marinade that turns the pork a pinkish color and then I can't tell if it's cooked by cutting into it, I won't eat it.

4. Staying on the eating topic... I hate leftovers.

5. I can wake up in the middle of my dreams and go back and finish them or "undo" them. I've woken up before, looked at Keith and told him "You'd better just leave me alone so I can go back and fix my dream so that I'm not mad at you."

6. I have to set my alarm clock 43 minutes ahead of the real time to "trick" myself into getting up on time (which I still don't do). I choose a weird number because then it takes me a while to figure out what time it really is which in turn wakes me up (in theory).

A ton of people have been tagged already, so if you haven't.... TAG! You're IT!

Your alarm clock one is funny! I never thought of using a hard to subtract number before. Very clever!

Okay, you are funny and we could be great friends. Guess what, I have the same thing with the reading at bedtime (I simply CAN'T fall asleep, I have to read SOMETHING!), the chapstick/moisturizer thing, AND the clock. I don't do 43 minutes, but I would do random stuff like 12, 17, etc. Same theory, never really worked, I'd just figure it out and then roll over! :) Also, I'm very weird about meat, especially if I prepare it. It's not as bad for me if others prepare it. I especially can't eat chicken that I have physically touched with my hands.

oywbYou come by two of your "quirks" honestly - they are genetic. I must read - even if its only a paragraph. And I have to put lotion on my feet (thereby doing my hands) and chapstick. At least I've graduated to lotion - for years it had to be Noxema (because my feet got hot) - stinky!! I can also sometimes go back into dreams but not always with positive results. We are counting the days with you. Much love - Aunt Bing
