A busy weekend

I've come to realize that you can tell what kind of parent you have been by listening to your child in the bathtub. It really is so sweet to hear your child playing with his bathtub letters, Jolly the Green giant (yes, you read that right) and his ducks when he tells them they are listening good or he is singing songs to them/about them. On the other hand, you can tell you've had a rough start to the week when Jolly the Green Giant is repeatedly in time out. Yes, it's been one of those weeks (and it's only Tuesday).

So, rather then get into the temper tantrums, freak outs and the fact that everyone in this house needs their hour sleep back, I'd love to share some pictures of our weekend! Keith and Andrew spent a ton of time together this weekend and they had so much fun.

First, Andrew and his Daddy worked on Keith's Bronco. Keith loves old Bronco's and so do his two boys. Anything loud and noisy. As soon as that hood popped open, Andrew was flying up the drive to grab his tools.

For the first time this year, we broke the bike out again! Boy is my little guy getting big! We really need to raise the seat for him. This was the first time he was able to peddle by himself on the flat parts of the road. The sun was in his eyes so I gave him my sunglasses. Sytlin' and Profilin', baby!!
Another fun activity this weekend was riding Alex's scooter! We bought Alex this scooter many moons ago and boy did he love it. He'd be outside for hours at a time just riding around. I can tell that once Andrew gets the hang of it, he'll be doing the same! We used my neighbors driveway because it's nice and flat. Unfortunately, we still had some boo-boo's! Need to head out and buy some knee pads before he decides he wants to ride again. Andrew was kind enough to share his scooter with his old mom and dad. :-)

And one last picture of our little peanut... I need to put this picture and the bike picture side by side with ones taken last July so we can see how big he has gotten. Then again, maybe I don't want to see how quickly he is growing! :-)

Toodles! Off to try to make up my lost hour of sleep!

Can someone please explain to me how losing one hour of sleep can throw my body off for an entire week? It's like jet lag or something.

Anyway, I have to say that the photo of Andrew by the bumper of the Bronco is definitely a keeper... be sure to put that one in the folder for the rehearsal dinner slide show! :)

As I was looking at the photos, and thinking you lived in a really cool area, I remembered in a summer post that the judge in Russia questioned why your house is on sticks . . . Can you please post a pic of "your house on sticks"?
I also loved the photo of Andrew by the Bronco.

He is so adorable and getting more handsome by the day!

Love that he is writing now. It is so sweet to see I love you written for the first time and it won't be long!

What were you thinking getting on that scooter? Actually, it looked like a lot of fun...maybe I'll have to get the kids' scooters out and give them a try.

Not fair on your warm weather and the shorts pics...it snowed here today. What kind of spring break is this...seriously.

Like Barb, I think about what the judge said about your house on stilts as well...so funny what sticks in peoples minds!

I'm with you on the sleep thing. It is amazing how an hour can make such a difference.

Loved the pictures. Andrew sure is a handsome boy! I loved the pictures of he and Keith working on the car and the one of him riding with your glasses. My all time favorite is him wearing his Little Peanut shirt!! Love it!!
