Little stories

In lieu of a coherent post since it's past my bedtime, I decided to post two videos. At dinner the other night, I attempted to "interview" Andrew. All I really wanted was for him to talk about his favorite things but instead I got a hodge podge of entertainment! The things this child comes up with just cracks me up.

This first video is a little snip-it of our conversation about Russia. Wait until you see my little old man wag his finger at his daddy when asking him a question. If only he had his glasses on at the time...

The second video is just funny. I have no idea where he got this saying from, but I nearly peed my pants. I looked at Keith across the table and thought he was going to die. Andrew knows to say "excuse me" when he burps, but we've never had to deal with other bodily functions... until now... and he sure said excuse me! Along with an explanation of what just happened. :-) Hopefully you can decipher what he is saying.

Last bust not least, Alex had his swim banquet the other night. It was soooo long - about 4 hours and it was just for the varsity team! They gave out a ton of awards and talked about each child, how much time they dropped and then highlighted some of their strongest team members. I'm so proud to tell you all that Alex scored the 6th highest number of points for the boys team. I know that probably doesn't mean much to you, but there are about 35+ boys on the team and to be the 6th highest scorer is something big! When introducing Alex, his coach talked about how he is every coach's dream. He is always positive, pushes himself and his teammates, will swim anything asked and makes the best of every situation. That's Alex! We were so darn proud!

Keith left the banquet early to take Andrew home and he told me about their conversation. To preface, when Andrew is tired he will fight tooth and nail to not have to go to bed. He has become the negotiating king and fights and fights which is why my reaction to hearing this conversation was "Awwwww...."

Keith: How about we go inside, put your pajamas on and then go upstairs to read books?"
Andrew: Okay. 2 books. You read 1 book and I read 1 book.
So, inside they go and start getting changed. Andrew looks at Keith, tips his head sideways and says "Daddy, I just want to go to sleep." Upstairs they went, Andrew climbed right in bed, pulled the covers over his head and said "Night, dad." Two seconds later he was fast asleep! The child never ceases to amaze me! :-)

Happy (almost) Friday!
Becky

P.S. No comments from the Peanut gallery about the piles of stuff you see behind Andrew in the video. :-)

Great videos! Andrew looks adorable as usual! Pretty cool how he has learned excuse me so quickly. We really need to start working on that with Diego and not for burbs!
