Pictures - Moscow Trip 2, Day 15

Well, we found out today that we won't be able to leave early like we hoped. We'll be done with paperwork on Monday and could leave Tuesday but since our tickets (mine and Keith's) are skymiles tickets there would have to be a skymiles seat available. Since it's the high time in Moscow, there are no skymiles seats. The only other option is to cancel the rest of our tickets and re-purchased tickets for Keith and I but that would be well over $3,000 and it's not worth it! Instead, we'll take the time to explore Andrew's birthplace with him.

We're going to go to the zoo on Tuesday with Lea, John and their son Nicolai and I want to go to the Novedivichy Convent (sp?). Anyhow, in light of tiredness and needing to do some work, I'm going to cheat and just give you some pictures. Today was an goode day Andrew-wise. Andrew's schedule was messed up by our day which threw all of us for a loop. Tomorrow will be even worse since we have our embassy appointment at 2:00. Andrew naps from 1 - 3! Not tomorrow! Thankfully we'll have Lea and John to be miserable with. :-)

We spent the middle of the day in the car.... lunchtime and naptime. We went to pick up his passport (yay!) and to file paperwork at the Embassy. Andrew was a trooper!

This has got to be one of my favorite pictures ever. I don't know what it is about it, but I just love it!

We had dinner Ron and Dinia (pictured below) and Lea, John and Nicolai (2nd picture below). Both kids were SO well behaved - we couldn't have asked for better. Afterwards, we went to the grocery store with both kids and they were angels!

This boy LOVES to brush his teeth and take baths/showers. Between last night and tonight he has taken 2 baths and 2 showers. :-) A bath last night, a bath tonight, a shower with daddy in the morning and a shower with mommy in the morning. After each he has to brush his teeth. I think he does it just so he can spit the water in the sink. :-) Oh, and he has two toothbrushes - one of them is the musical one and it plays a KISS song. :-) Speaking of kissing... he's giving lots of kisses!

Andrew saw me blow drying my hair and now he has to. We have video but he's nekked so I can't share. :-)

Heehee!! I read this post AFTER the emails we traded. Oh well...guess I found my answer about when you're coming home...

You've got quite the little cutie on your hands, Becky. I'm glad you had a chance to meet everyone for dinner. Hopefully you'll meet up with Ron & Dinia again before heading home. If so, give them both a big hug from me.

Andrew seems to be a real "ham". Question: I noticed the car seat, did you bring it? When we were in Russia (5+ years ago) we had no car seat. Your little guy is a real sweetheart!!! Enjoy you extra days relaxing and exploring.

Andrew looks so happy! He is adorable. He fits right in with you and Keith - it is amazing.

Sorry you can't come home early. I know you are ready to do so. I wish we were going to see you guys in Moscow but our 10 days was not waived.

Have a great time in Moscow!

In the end you will be happy you had an extra day to explore and pack. You'll be home forever (especially with no vacation until next year) so while you miss home and Alex too an extra day is nothing in the grand scheme of things...just make it valuable!

I agree, I think the picture with Keith and Andrew is adorable! Love his shades too! I'm sure you are so anxious to get A home to see his new room and to be with his big brother.

This kid just is the cutest darn thing!!! I always wondered way the Embassy makes those appointments in the middle of the day- almost like they enjoy a bunch of screaming tired kids running around

Oh..what a sweetheart! It looks like you are having a wonderful time..tired I get it, but wonderful. I know you are ready to come home but enjoy these last few days abroad. I'm miss being there and the excitement of the beg. days and all the emotions and feelings that I had. Now it feels like we very never there or it's such a distant memory I have to really concentrate on it to remember. :-)

Wishing you safe travels home Thurs. :-)
